The spiritual community always talks so much about staying positive. And absolutely this is a must! We always want to keep our vibrations as high as possible so that we can attract more of what we want and less of what we don’t. However, denial is never the place you want to be if you want to bring anything good into your life. I know this personally because I lived there for many years.
When we deny what we are feeling we never really heal it. It merely festers beneath the surface. And it will find other ways to make its presence known, usually at the worst possible moments and when you least expect it.
If you really want to heal from pain or sadness, then you must take the time to actually feel what you are feeling. It’s not unhealthy to do this. In fact, it’s unhealthy not to do this. Only when you honour your emotions by allowing them to come to the surface, can you truly begin to heal.
